Thank you for talking about this! I understand bloggers’ and influencers’ jobs often require them to buy (and sell) clothes, products, trends, but as a long-time reader (of several blogs, not directed at you), I’ve personally grown a bit tired of it all. I don’t feel like I can turn a blind eye to the negative environmental impact of the fashion industry anymore. It’s refreshing to hear an influencer like you acknowledge that impact and I hope more catch on and start promoting sustainable or conscious brands more.

I totally get that – honestly I get tired of it sometimes, too! I’m constantly thinking “how is that person ALWAYS wearing something brand new and in stock every day?!” Haha obviously, part of my job is to show you guys how to style new trends, how things fit on a petite frame, etc, so I can’t say that I’ll only buy sustainable fashion from now on. But the other part of my job is chatting with you guys about how we can all improve ourselves – and to me, educating ourselves about this impact is totally a part of that. Hopefully Everlane will inspire other brands to implement more conscious practices… crossing fingers!
